Will APPLE upcoming TWS earbuds AirPods 3 get back the market share?

Apple’s existing AirPods series has lost market share globally, but the upcoming “AirPods3” is expected to change this situation. New market research claims that compared with the first quarter, global customer interest in the TWS (Full Wireless Stereo) market has diminished in the second quarter of 2021. Throughout the United States, sales increased by only 1% from the previous quarter. But overall, the market for wireless earplugs has grown by 27%.

Counterpoint Research attributed this increase to the coronavirus pandemic, while the overall decline in sales was due to a lack of new equipment.

“I think the third-generation AirPods, which are expected to be launched next month, may be very popular. We have not seen a new product launch for a long time. If you consider some attractive prices, AirPods3 is likely to be the best of Apple’s TWS earbuds. The overall sales have been pushed to more than 80 million. Although the increase in this quarter is not large, the “ecosystem is very strong” and the market has proved the success of some companies.”

“Samsung seized a large portion of the high-end market, while Xiaomi thrived in the entire sub-$100 market,” Lee said. “Indian player boAt has also made some huge gains in the context of the recovery of the domestic market, reaching the eighth place in the world, which is its best performance in its history.”

Apple is expected to announce its “AirPods3” at the iPhone conference in September.
