How to Organize Apps and Folders on the iPhone

Your iPhone can have a lot of apps, so it’s important to organize them in a way that makes sense to you. You can create folders to group related apps together, or you can use the App Library to find apps by category. Here’s how to organize your apps and folders on your iPhone.

Create Folders

Folders are a great way to group related apps together. To create a folder, simply touch and hold an app until it starts to jiggle, then drag it on top of another app. The two apps will be combined into a folder. You can then rename the folder by tapping on it and entering a new name.

Arrange Apps by Category

You can arrange your apps by category by going to Settings > General > Home Screen & Dock and selecting “Organize by Category.” This will create a new Home Screen page for each category of apps. For example, you might have a page for productivity apps, a page for social media apps, and a page for games.

Use the App Library

The App Library is a new feature in iOS 14 that automatically organizes your apps into categories. To access the App Library, swipe left from the last Home Screen page. The App Library will display all of your apps, organized by category. You can also search for apps in the App Library by typing their name into the search bar.

Customize Your Home Screen

You can customize your Home Screen by changing the wallpaper, adding widgets, and rearranging the icons. To change the wallpaper, tap and hold on an empty space on the Home Screen until you see the wallpaper options. To add a widget, tap and hold on an empty space on the Home Screen until you see the widget options. To rearrange the icons, touch and hold an icon until it starts to jiggle, then drag it to a new location.

Delete Apps

If you no longer need an app, you can delete it from your iPhone. To delete an app, touch and hold the app until it starts to jiggle, then tap the “x” in the top-left corner of the app icon.

By following these tips, you can keep your iPhone organized and make it easier to find the apps you need.
