No matter for which situations you lost your AirPods, such as you take them out of your ears and set them down somewhere, and then forget where you put them, or you drop them, or they fall out of your ears in somewhere, etc. If you’ve lost your AirPods, you can try to use your iPhone to find them. The Find My app on your iPhone can help you track the location of your AirPods, even if they’re out of range of your Bluetooth connection. Here are the steps:
- Open the Find My app on your phone.
- Tap on the “Devices” tab.
- Your AirPods should be listed under “Devices.”
- Tap on the name of your AirPods.
- If your AirPods are nearby, you will see a map showing their location.
- If your AirPods are not nearby, you will see their last known location.
- You can also make your AirPods play a sound to help you find them. To do this, tap on the “Play Sound” button.
If you’re still having trouble finding your AirPods, you can also use the “Lost Mode” feature in the Find My app. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the Find My app on your iPhone.
- Tap on the “Devices” tab.
- Tap on the name of your AirPods.
- Tap on the “Lost Mode” button.
- Enter a message that will be displayed on your AirPods if someone finds them.
- You can also choose to have your AirPods display a phone number so that someone can contact you if they find them.
Once you’ve enabled Lost Mode, anyone who finds your AirPods will be able to see your message and phone number. If they return your AirPods to you, you’ll be able to track their location using the Find My app.
Here are some things to keep in mind when trying to find your AirPods:
- Your AirPods will only show up in the Find My app if they are turned on and connected to your iPhone.
- If your AirPods are out of range of your iPhone, they will not show up in the Find My app.
- If your AirPods are turned off, they will not show up in the Find My app.
If you have lost your AirPods and you cannot find them using the Find My app, you can also try the following:
- Check with your friends and family to see if they have seen your AirPods.
- Look for your AirPods in the last place you remember having them.
- Put up a lost and found sign in your area.
- File a police report.
